How you should explore this data

  1. Look at the results to see if you have adequate representation in your surveys. Once you have achieved representation we will share key findings from the survey responses.
  2. Ask: Are certain populations significantly over- or under-sampled in the results?
    • Explore the community asset map to identify neighborhoods where under-sampled populations live.
    • Identify locations (community centers, health clinics, libraries, schools, businesses, parks, etc.) in those communities where you might conduct more survey outreach.
    • Reach out to leaders in those neighborhoods to learn about good times to survey community members, to ask where else you should go to reach people, and to ask who else might be helpful.
  3. Ask: Have you gotten sufficient input from residents whose voices are typically underheard? Take a look at the list of priority populations above — if you notice that we haven’t met our goals yet, continue your targeted outreach using the steps described above.
